Change an estimate after you sent it

You cannot edit a sent version. A change becomes version 2; version 1 stays on record.

A sent version is a document the customer may be comparing right now, so it never changes. When the scope or a price needs to move, you send a new version.

  1. 01Open the estimate and choose New version. Everything is copied; the sent version stays as it was.
  2. 02Make the change: a cheaper covering, a different roof, a corrected quantity.
  3. 03Preview and approve. The customer receives version 2 the same way and accepts the one they want.
  4. 04Both versions stay in the story with times. The accepted one is locked; the other stays on record.
