Once a version is accepted it is locked. If the customer wants something more, or the crew finds hidden damage, the extra work is a change order: a separate document with its own lines and price that the customer accepts on the link before the work starts.
- 01
Start it
From the job or the estimate, choose Change order. The crew’s photo and note, if there is one, come with it.
- 02
Price it
Lines from your price book, with cost and margin like any estimate.
- 03
Send it
The customer accepts it the same way, with a name and a time. Nothing starts until they do.
- 04
It follows the job
The change order becomes part of the job and of the final invoice. The original accepted version is untouched.
